Docta Ignorantia LXVIII
Sappers And Miners
By David R. Graham
Years ago Swami
called the devotees "sappers and miners" which is a very specific and
significant military function. The metaphor is important for saying
exactly what Swami's operations are doing.
Sappers and miners burrow under the defenses of an enemy and blow them up from below then exploit the opening. The miners dig the cavity below the wall and the sappers lay charges under it then blow them. The wall comes down and in go the infantry.
On publishing and saying what one believes -- e.g., about death on the
cross -- it is time to be upfront with the truth.
