"Affirmative Action"
   and "Race Reparations"

On the Importance of Thinking Clearly
and Without Intent to Harm

1- The church is a *corpus mixtum,* some members belong to it and some do not. The church is not responsible for the actions of members who do not belong to it.

2- It is a common weakness of people without a cultural background that supports education to propose as solutions to problems hand-outs to themselves.

3- "Affirmative action" in the United States was invited by the Administration of President Richard Nixon with the goal of lowering wage standards by infusing the workforce with a large body of unorganized employees. When those employees became organized sufficiently to raise wage standards, "affirmative action" was scaled back and gradually rescinded.

4- When we purport to study theology and represent the profession, our concerns ought rightly to be theology and representation.

5- There are no racial problems among those who belong to the church.
