Foundation or District
Staff to Handle C.O.P.E.

I think it's time or near time for the Foundations or the Districts to commit staff -- probably new, but not necessarily so -- to carry forward the concepts and initiatives collected under the moniker C.O.P.E. .... This is not a resume ....

Thoughts about the profile of such an individual:

  1. Experienced with district and homeschool procedures, concerns and modes of thinking;
  2. Experienced with research and graduate-level educational institutions in both public and private sectors;
  3. Experienced with religious and medical procedures, concerns and modes of thinking;
  4. Experienced with military, political, judicial and police procedures, concerns and modes of thinking;
  5. Experienced with retail, manufacturing and farming businesses, especially their R&D operations;
  6. Experienced with the several arts, including those associated with home-making, parenting and child-bearing and-rearing, but also including engineering, mechanics and the so-called fine arts;
  7. Conversant with the populations currently served by districts and the programs that serve them;
  8. Conversant with Systems Theory and its applications in Organizational Development (OD) and, ideally, in Education itself;
  9. Already successful with the concepts and the procedures of Organizational Development;
  10. A quick study, willing and able to learn new things;
  11. Articulate;
  12. Conversant with education concepts and initiatives around the country, including ones they do not like or approve.
